Electrician - Site Maintenance - London SW3

The Role: Working as part of a team, the role of Site Maintenance Electrician involves the carrying out of regular checks, tests and maintenance operations on a large site in central London. You will ensure all the electrical systems are mainatined to the highest standards, identifying issues and carrying out remedial work to repair systems to the relevant standards or working with senior colleagues to complete remedial works as required.

A large part of the work will involve installation, testing and maintenance of normal lighting, emergency lighting and associated systems, smoke vent operation and mains smoke detectors.

Qualifications and Experience: As a qualified Electrician, you will have experience of either commercial, industrial or domestic installations. You will be able to analyse and evaluate results and choose the best solution to solve problems. With sound communication skills and attention to detail, you will be familair with proper compliance and ensure certification is diligently completed. You will be expected to complete all necessary paperwork relating to your work accurately and on time.

You should have at least one years experience as a qualified electrician and hold the following qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installatio Work (or approved equivalent)

City & Guilds 2360 or 2357 Level 3 Diploma

You will have experience of emergency lighting testing and installation. Knowledge of fire alarm installation and testing will be an advantage but is not essential. You must be PC literate (email/report writing/certification) and ideally hold a clean current driving licence.

Approved Electrician - London & South East

The Role: As an Approved Electrician with Phase Electrical Services you will carry out a wide range of electrical installation work, maintenance and testing. With a thorough knowledge of electrical contracting, working within the guidelines of IEE regulations you will be able to plan and complete electrical projects from drawings and specifications, utilising equipment, materials and staff effiiciently.

Able to work proficiently on your own, you will also work as part of a team and be expected to lead and guide other electricians, demonstrating best practice and professionalism.

Monitoring workmanship on site to ensure our electrical service is to a high standard is key to this role as well as ensuring proper compliance and certification is diligently completed. You will be expected to complete all necessary paperwork relating to your work accurately and on time.

Qualifications and Experience: You wil have demonstrable experience of working as an Approved Electrician and hold the following qualifications:

City & Guilds 2382-10 17th Edition Qualification

City & Guilds Testing & Inspection 2391-10 Qualification

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Work (or approved equivalent)

Experience of fire alarm and emergency lighting testing and installation

 

Candidates must be PC ltiterate (email/report writing/certification) and ideally hold a clean driving licence.

Emergency Lighting Operative - London SW3

The Role: Working as part of a team, this role involves the carrying out of regular checks, tests and maintenance on emergency lighting systems, components and associated signage. You will cover a number of sites, ensuring they are maintained, issues and remedial work highlighted and site issues resolved within the relevant standards and regulations.

All tests and inspections of emergency lighting systems will be made according to BS5266-1 Emergency Lighting Code of Practice for emergency lighting of premises. You will also check and test smoke vent operation and mains smoke detectors.

 

Qualifications and experience: You will have obtained or be currently studying for one of the following:

City & Guilds 2330 Level 2 Electrotechnology or

City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 Electrical Installation or

EAL Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnical Studies.

You will also need to be PC literate and have obtained a mathematics and english GCSE pass. You will need at least six months commercial electrical work experience or demonstrable experience of emergency lighting testing and inspection.

The ideal candidate will work well both on their own and as part of a team. You should have an eye for detail, be diligent in completing paperwork and recording your tests. You should be well organised and possess adequate technical knowledge to work proficiently without supervsion.

Candidates selected for interview will need to show evidence of their qualifications or current sourse studies.
